I am a very conservative email user, not using search folders or IMAP. Just a number of POP servers, but many old emails. I always loved kmail for being able to handel large amounts of emails without performance degradation. This love is now somewhat diminished by having to wait for 5-10 minutes after starting kmail for it to become usable.
