The "nothing fancy" promise is disappointing. It is the 21st century, the minimal goal should be to allow e-mailing anything, that can be written, drawn, or painted on a piece of paper and stuffed into an envelope. An external attachment should not be required for anything, where a physical equivalent does not require a parcel-box, so to speak. No need for everything at once -- I'll be happy with gradual progress. But I'm wary of forswearing "fancy"...
