Timothy Pearson <[email protected]> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CC| |[email protected] --- Comment #177 from Timothy Pearson <kb9vqf pearsoncomputing net> 2010-10-04 19:31:46 --- Hi, Tim Pearson here from the Trinity project as promised. I have added a page at this address http://trinity.pearsoncomputing.net/crfe/ in order to be able to iron out the required specifications, and to track the progress on these two RFEs. I have decided to split the entire KMail HTML project into two parts. The first would be to get full HTML support functional in the Trinity project, as that is the environment that I am most familiar with, and there are a significant number of corporate users of that environment. This would use Webkit; a full proposed specification is available on the page previously mentioned. The second phase would be to port those changes to KDE4 and get it accepted upstream. When the first phase is built, cross-toolkit compatibility will be kept in mind so that KDE4 can use the code from that phase without heavy modifications. The threshold bounty amounts currently shown on that page will fluctuate as requirements are added or removed; if you want to see it done for less cost then remove some of the requirements from the specification(s). I have left the KDE4 specification almost empty; I would like individuals who are more familiar with the KDE4 development process and cycle to list any requirements and/or barriers to getting the new editor accepted into upstream.
