It might come alive again after that. We left off that we needed to finalize the KDE4 spec. Once that was done and published we would start collecting the pledges. The issue was the split between those who need it for KDE3 and those who need it for KDE4. We need to fill the KDE3 pledge as a dependency for the KDE4 version (by virtue of who is doing the work and the way they would implement - not a technical dependency). If both fill, we will have both versions which is the goal. It is a fairly substantial project. As someone else commented early, no quick fixes here.
