Hello,
sorry for replying after couple months, I missed this email and it was
brought to my attention today. Did you manage to solve this issue? Is
this issue also occuring with our current development packages?

Hi
We’ve set up Kea (2.4.0) running as non-root on RHEL 8.9 and have
changed ownership on relevant directories.
Somehow ownership for /var/run/kea is being changed from non-root user
to root during a reboot.
As a result none of the services kea-ctrl-agent.service,
kea-dhcp4.service will start at bootup but terminates with “Unable to
use interprocess sync lockfile (Permission denied): /var/run/kea/logger_”
Any suggestions to why /var/run/kea changes ownership during boot?
