Maybe your local repository was in an inconsistent state, or LuaRocks is not installing modules to where you think it is, and the wsapi/request.lua in your /usr/local/share is from an older installation. Perhaps you forgot to run luarocks install as root, and the correct module is under tour ~/.luarocks? -- Fabio Mascarenhas
