No.  The name ``Kerberos'' was originally conceived when the project
was still attempting to develop a unifying framework for
Authentication, Authorization, and Accounting.  By the time the scope
of the project was restricted to just authentication, the name
Kerberos was already too well-entrenched to change.  This is described
in one of the original Kerberos documents.
