Public bug reported: Hello Canonical,
Could you please include the following patch in Bionic? -- When setting up a CPU, we "push" (activate) a pool VP for it. However it's an error to do so if it already has an active pool VP. This happens when doing soft CPU hotplug on powernv since we don't tear down the CPU on unplug. The HW flags the error which gets captured by the diagnostics. Fix this by making sure to "pull" out any already active pool first. -- Patch: https://patchwork.ozlabs.org/patch/897035/ ** Affects: ubuntu-power-systems Importance: Medium Assignee: Canonical Kernel Team (canonical-kernel-team) Status: Triaged ** Affects: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Assignee: Ubuntu on IBM Power Systems Bug Triage (ubuntu-power-triage) Status: New ** Tags: architecture-ppc64le bugnameltc-166669 severity-medium targetmilestone-inin1804 triage-g ** Tags added: architecture-ppc64le bugnameltc-166669 severity-medium targetmilestone-inin1804 ** Changed in: ubuntu Assignee: (unassigned) => Ubuntu on IBM Power Systems Bug Triage (ubuntu-power-triage) ** Package changed: ubuntu => linux (Ubuntu) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1763386 Title: Fix trying to "push" an already active pool VP Status in The Ubuntu-power-systems project: Triaged Status in linux package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: Hello Canonical, Could you please include the following patch in Bionic? -- When setting up a CPU, we "push" (activate) a pool VP for it.
