The PicoJava chip was a proof-of-concept thing.  No one wants to use it -
not even Sun.  The Merced processor has the "undocumented" chip in it, which
is rumored to be a JVM chip.  Also, Transmeta is working on a "morph" chip
which should be able to emulate any machine, including the JVM.

So to answer this question: no, there's no PC java chip out yet, but people
are working on it.
