I have no idea why on earth you would even consider creating a whole new
kernel to power your operating system. I am personally involved in building
something similar to JOS but I am using a hacked version of the linux kernel
to do it. I almost have the system running now and am testing some desktop
stuff on it. The speed is exceptional and above that of sun's own javaos.
I intend to fully hide anything that even resembles unix to include the file
system.
Powered by the powerful Linux bottom end but all java on top.....
Just curious as to your direction here!
