Hi @knurd42 - yes you are right NO_CONFIGCHECKS=1 is the correct format.
I am not happy having users use NO_CONFIGCHECKS but it gets you going
for now.

Second - I do feel sad about the complexity of everything especially the
kernel.spec.  The whole redhat/ area needs a spring cleaning.  And
kernel.spec could be made simpler if RHEL adopted Fedora's split out
kernel-tools approach, but that fight hasn't been successful yet.

When you say the configs are different, can you clarify a bit?  I
believe it should work correctly.  Which Fedora rawhide configs are you
looking at?
