I'm with you on the boot process and I don't mind having them builtin either. Please help us out understand though. Because that last comment contradicts your earlier answer @dhorak1 that loading these modules in the initramfs would not permit the board to boot (https://gitlab.com/cki-project/kernel- ark/-/merge_requests/3852#note_2489420767), hence these cannot be modules.
