Greetings one and all KGDB folks.

I would very much like to make an attempt to get KGDB into the mainline
kernel, as well as fix a number of defects and add some features which
have long had in my development version of KGDB.

I believe that it will go something like this.
1) Port the current patches into the 2.6.21rcX kernel
2) I will start merging the numerous fixes I have and
post them here for review incrementally.
3) Submit the KGDB core to the mainline
At that point it might move to be a git stream on
    kernel.org.
4) Look at some new feature work and integration
of features brewing in my development branch.

To start this off I have ported everything except for the sh-lite.patch
(since I have no SH toolchain etc...) and the cfi annotations patch. It
was not clear to me that we need this or not at this point.

I have checked the work into a branch on the cvs server called
linux2_6_21_uprev. This is the place I will continue to update until
the mainline work is in.

Let us use this mailing list to coordinate the work of sending KGDB on
over to the mainline, prior to posting on lkml. The first cut of the
patches can be obtained with:

cvs -z3 -d:pserver:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/cvsroot/kgdb co
-r linux2_6_21_uprev -P kgdb-2

Thanks,
Jason.
