This decision is a direct result of all the hard work people are doing in this project (and some selling). I am proud to be part of your team. The folks at CERN are what I call "first dominoes". More will come, if CERN does not stub their toes. I am traveling next week to speak at this conference: http://www.ohwr.org/projects/ohr-meta/wiki/OHWorkshop I will finally get a chance to meet Jean-Pierre face to face and have a beer together. The gEDA project will not take this lying down. I suggest we give serious attention soon to writing conversion programs from all of their formats. It's weird having to think about competing here. But I have been playing this game in the software private sector for 30 years, and know that being able to provide a conversion path for datafiles from the competing tool into yours is critical to gaining market share. These conversion tools could be external, and written in a language of your choice. Opportunities abound to become a respected contributor here. Thanks to all again, Dick _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~kicad-developers Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~kicad-developers More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
