Hello, I have some ideas, but I would like to implement my self to learn about the kicad source code. I would like to switch on and off the layers by pressing a new checkbox in the layermanager, but I have the problem I don't find where the other layer checkboxes will created, and does a function exist, which turns off and on the layers? The idea is, to set a combination of layers which will be displayed by one checkbox. For example Top, Bottom,...
The second idea is to create a Database with all parts with partnumbers from distributors, prices ... and creating a BOM. For this I would like to use the description to every symbol. In an excel sheet is the combination of partname, description and footprint and for this you can set real parts to create later the BOM. What do you think about this ideas? It would take some time until I have programmed this ideas but I hope it would be good :) Martin
