Hi, I don’t know if I understood the intention the right way, but… Making some functionality dependant on something like Excel is IMHO a very bad idea, because at least in case of Excel you won’t have it available in a Linux environment… not to say how bad it IMHO is to make some free and open source SW dependant on some commercial SW.
