Also to add to #3, it might look like a DNS issue to the untrained eye. But they issue HSTS headers on github so all future requests in a web browser even if you accidentally enter in http:// get redirected by your own browser isntead of the server. Even codeload "appears" to work on "http" in a browser due to HSTS, but its merely the browser storing the fact it should never try "http".
