Ok I have to replace my AppData\Roaming\Kicad\fp-lib-table file with: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/KiCad/kicad-library/master/template/fp-lib-table.for-github it seems the installer must not be updating this file when Iv moved from old versions? After doing this I am able to access all libraries. Shall I file a bug on launch pad? Can I draw your attention to this post on the forum: https://forum.kicad.info/t/github-footprints-problem/1935/4 I have been having this problem over a week now on the Stable 4.0.1 build, I can get around it be using Cvpcb to assign footprints. But it prevents footprint assignment from eeschema. Let me know if I can give further assistance debugging.
