Pawel,

In the Linux/Unix world we say that you should use at least double the amount 
of swap as you have physical RAM.

1GB swap is like a piss in the mississippi - increase to at least 4G when 
running CAD softwares or set up a dynamic swap allocation ( is that possible 
in XP? )

If the problem continues... Have you considered Linux?
