Hi,
Jeane Pierre told me that I have to increase the grid size into 0,5 mm. Kicad works well. It is very possible the reason is too low memory capacity for small grid size

Pawel,

In the Linux/Unix world we say that you should use at least double the amount
of swap as you have physical RAM.

1GB swap is like a piss in the mississippi - increase to at least 4G when
running CAD softwares or set up a dynamic swap allocation ( is that possible
in XP? )

If the problem continues... Have you considered Linux?

Cheers
