Hi,

I'm using Kicad to send files directly to a 3D-Plotter device. Until now I
used different pcb programs (eagle, ultibaord, edwin etc) and had no
difficulty to import/convert their files.

They use the coordinate 0,0 for the bottom left corner of the PCB, so all
coordinates of tracks and pads are positive.
They also use the same coordinates for Excellon,Gerber and HPGL plots.

With Kicad I found the following:

- Coordinate system for the hpgl files is positive X to the left and positive
Y upwards wth the zero coordinate at the page bottom (not the board) .
.
- Coordinate system for the gerber files positive X to the left and posiive Y
upwards. with the zero coordinate at 0,0 (at the blue axis crossing)

Excellon files are by default mirrored and use can use a reference point.

Questiion:
a) Is there a way not to display the red reference drawing ?
b) Is there a way to make the left bottom corner of the PCB the 0,0 coordinate
for all output formats?

regards
johan
