I just refuse to believe that you have a 3D plotter! ( If you have - my 
sincere congratulations! )

These are often epoxy prototyping machines with a laser catalyst device...

Also, a 3D plotter uses X, Y and Z coordinates - which only the 3D viewer in 
KiCad have.
