That's what I do, allthough if the pad is the same as the drill the
grey bit does dissapear. Personally I prefer to set the pad size
slightly larger so the inside of the ring corresponds to exactly where
the hole will be.

In a couple of cases I have edited the pad size and offset such that
it marks out the area where incumbent mounting hardware will be.
