And there are other things that you need to tell them when ordering your board like... 1 - what substrate material to use (typically FR4) 2 - how thick the layers should be (typically 0.062 for 2 layer board) 3 - how thick the copper cladding should be (typical 1oz) 4 - what color solder mask / silk screen to use (typically white silk on green mask) 5 - my layout guy insists that we have to invoke the relevant IPC standards.
