I suspect you might be thinking that the original poster wanted to use one integrated circuit, powering the second gate by switched power while powering the first gate from the power plane. Not so. If that had been the case, then his parts annotations would have been "U1A" and "U1B." But his parts are "U1A" and "U2A." So separating power to gates within a common package is not the issue here. I still assume that I must create a custom part, to float pin 14 of an LS00 package. If you say otherwise, please post here about that. Thanks for your reply, JohnPeter
