Hi, using a quad nand 74hc00 per ex., you have one component with 4 gates. Adding an 74hc00, you always get the first gate (pins 1, 2 & 3). So, you need to select which unit you want to use (Edite Composant => Unite => Unit 1, 2, 3 or 4).
When you create a new component, you have to specify the number of parts or units. Default is 1. You can also use this feature to split a big component. You can see here a xc2v3000 fpga (one part) and a xc2v3000 with 9 parts : kicad.rohrbacher.net/temp regards, Charles. --- In [email protected], "sroux93" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > Someone can explain to me what are component with different parts > (eeschema program --> when you create a new component from a > existing one, in the properties, you can select number of parts... > but but means this function ???) > > I am french if you want to answer in french.
