Hi,
You can use something called a via to connect a trace on one side of
the board (green trace) to a trace on the other side of the board (red
trace). A VIA is used when traces cross one another. It's a similar
idea to the link you'd use on a stripboard.
It's best to try to place your components in a similar position to the
way they appear in your schematic to start with. Placement is an
iterative process, so do it in stages then stop and try doing it again.
As you spend time with the layout better routes for the traces will
suggest themselves.
It's probably best if you try to do the board yourself as you will
learn a lot more this way.
