Hi, As your limited to using a single sided board you will have to use links where traces cross. A resistor can be used as a substitute for a link, just remember to label it as a link in pcbnew. It's also best to try to place your components in a similar position to the way they appear in your schematic to start with. Placement is an iterative process, so do it in stages then stop and try doing it again. As you spend time with the layout better routes for the traces will suggest themselves. It's probably best if you try to do the board yourself as you will learn a lot more this way. If you have any problems ask away, there are many helpful people on here who can assist.
