I wrote it, and I am already subscribed to the developers group, even if I
can't guarantee that I will ever (try to) modify one line of code!
Less if its indeed Pascal and not C++ or Java (which I have used a bit)
What I have achieved a year an a half ago is that a big multinational
company changed their mechanical CAD software from history free to
parametric - I was a student intern writing a paper on the subject there...
And I'm a daily parametric modeler in mechanical CAD, I also was a EDA user
(PADS) for 7 years, literal designing hundreds of circuits and boards!
But I am admittedly new to KiCad!
An there always is a learning curve I know! But especially the view of the
learner (with significant experience in general computation) is valuable,
and more if indeed core functionality is currently being restructured!
So why not hope for the best!?
I know keyboard shortcuts are great, even more so if they are standardized!
I just checked if copy, paste and cut are supported yet! They are not - just
as the consistent object select interface is not supported yet!
Dear Alain, how do you collect and track requested improvements?
Might there not be a way to borrow whole blocks of functionality from other
GPL programs?
I hope the current revision of KiKad is keeping the pure Object orientedness
as its main target, then everything will find its way I'm sure!
