Couldn't agree more; in fact I've already filed a feature request. 
However, please don't call them English units.   I am English and was 
taught metric (and only metric) at my English primary school 40 years 
ago.   English engineers use metric.   They are better described as 
traditional or even Roman measurements, and America is the last country 
in the world where engineers prefer to use them.   So "traditional", 
"Roman", or "US", but not "English".
