Well, there is an faq in the file list of this group. Log into the group
using the yahoo web interface and you will find them.

There are also copies of the tutorial there as well.

There is a wiki at:

http://kicad.sourceforge.net/wiki/index.php/Main_Page

Kicad home at:
http://iut-tice.ujf-grenoble.fr/kicad/index.html

a lot of links on it.

Regarding zoom, no, you get a fixed sequence of zoom. As an example
using eeschema, if you right click on the circuit and select the select
zoom level, you will see a list of zoom settings. If you use the wheel,
what you are doing is selecting up or down from this list, in the same
manner as using the function key options.

Personally I've not found it to be any problem, but I suppose it will
depend to some extent on what monitor display area you have.

Take note that Kicad does work a bit differently from other apps, and it
takes a bit of getting used to. Also work through the tutorial a few
times to get the hang of things.

You should find documentation under:

/usr/local/kicad/doc....

As well as in the group files.
