You're not going to like me answer, unless anyone else can verify. There are no problems with Windows XP filling zones so I feel this may be down to Vista. Unfortunately being run on windows, there is no further help to what causes this. You could try updating your graphics card drivers, as its a fill routine, it may be graphical related. Other than that have you tried a different version of kicad?
