I've created a few 3D parts for KiCAD, but I'm having a few issues. Is there a simple tutorial that descibes the process of building .wrl files for KiCAD?
1. Can I assume that 1 WU = 0.1 inch ? 2. I have a few instances where I draw a part, and then I recolor it. When I save it in .wrl, the displayed image has the original (uncolored) colors. When I use an external vrml viewer the part colors are correct. What's going on here? 3. I'm having trouble getting the 3D image and the board holes to line up. I'm assuming that the Wings part has to have it's orgin at the goemetric center of the object, and that the KiCAD footprint is the same. Any help on these issues much appreciated.
