My understanding is that the SVN repositories are no longer the current sources. They moved to another site using another SCM. I can't recall exactly where, but if you search the list archives from about a year or so ago, you should be able to find the link. In fact, the link was posted once as a response to my inquiry. Since I don't post often here, you might be able to narrow your search that way. I'm sure some of the extremely helpful devs who monito this list will post it soon as well.
Thanks again to everyone who has contributed to this package. It is WONDERFUL! Now, if only it had some mechanism for importing "active" modules where we could define some type of code that runs for each object. I could define a base processor (or FPGA, etc) and have it dynamically adjust the ERC based upon which configuration I chose or some more sophisticaed checking...... Thanks again, Greg ________________________________ From: Andrew <andrwp...@yahoo.co.uk> To: kicad-users@yahoogroups.com Sent: Mon, August 23, 2010 5:38:15 AM Subject: [kicad-users] Re: Installing Kicad from Source files Well I discovered yesterday that I had a problem with my installation of Kicad from the sources. Because I don't know how to make myself the root, I had to use the "sudo" command to run the ' make install' option. After coming back to Kicad yesterday, I found that the program would not run. No matter what I tried, so I decided to do total wipe of my system (I know its an overkill, but I got rid of Windows all together at the same time.) So now I need to know how to do it properly using the source codes available from svn and making myself root to perform the installation. Any ideas guy??????
