Hi everybody,
I am totally newbie in KIM platform. I have read a few papers about it and I
like it very much. I thought something about including this platform in my PhD
research project. The idea of this project is to integrate a few tools (Moodle,
ArgoUML, community portal) in order to provide students with environment for
learning design patterns individually as well as collaboratively. I want to
integrate these tools on a set of ontologies in the domain of design patterns,
user modeling and collaborative learning support. I thought that it would be
nice if I integrate it based on KIM platform, as I want to provide the students
with possibility to annotate learning material.
There are few questions that I would like to ask you:
1. I am not sure about how is the KIM platform supported in PHP application
such as Moodle? Is there anybody with experience in this area?
2. Is there any kind of user manual for developers about using KIM API?
3. I tried to install KIM platform on the Windows Vista OS and failed to
success. Ive always got message The Installer Cannot Be Run on this System.
Your environment does not meet the KIM platform installation requirements. The
installation will quit now." Does Vista make problem here or I should look for
some other problem?
