thanks for your interest in KIM.
The system documentation of KIM comes with its installation.
Alternatively it could be found on our web site at
http://www.ontotext.com/kim
Installing KIM Platform on Vista has not been tried yet and it is not
among the supported OS versions.
The default way of remotely accessing the KIM Server is through RMI,
but we also have developed a set of web services which will be included
in the next releases. So there is no default solution for accessing KIM
from PHP being included in the installation.
There are probably many solutions to this - for example PHP/Java
Bridge.

this System. Your environment does not meet the KIM platform
installation requirements. The installation will quit now." Does Vista
make problem here or I should look for some other problem?
