matt,

what type of monitoring do you have in mind? bandwidth traffic monitoring? or up/down status?

for bandwidth monitoring cacti is pretty good

Hello everyone,

I'm being asked to install a network monitoring/management software.
They wanted to use Cacti (http://www.cacti.net) but I would like to
give them alternatives like Nagios.

Has anyone here installed both software? Which do you think is the
better choice? (I'm also open to other software aside from the two).

Best regards,
Matt
