IMHO, I must admit math is really good in making your analysis skills sharper..but the problem is motivation...sure you could learn math if you just try super hard(for me) and learn it all but what happens after that? I bet that you'll only retain 20%(more or less) of what you'd learn..unless you apply what you learn, it is mostly forgotten. BTW,IMO we can't do anything about this in our school since it is committed to holistic education so it can't fore go any of the math subjects...and Math 5/6 is needed to make it in ICS 41 :D -- The best things in life are free.
