CALL FOR PARTICIPATION

LINUX TRAINING OF TRAINERS
Manila, December 4-15th, 2006

The International Open Source Network, InWEnt Capacity Building
Interntational, Germany, UNDP Asia
Pacific Development Information Programme, and the International Development
Research Centre are
jointly hosting a LINUX TRAINING OF TRAINERS at the University of the
Philippines Diliman
Interactive Learning Center from December 4-15th, 2006

This 2 week intensive course introduces Linux trainers to training with open
content Linux system
administration training materials and low cost Linux Professionals Institute
(LPI) certification
examinations.

To hold a training of trainers session in Manila, Philippines for local
participants, after which
they will sit for examination to be certified as LPIC Level 1 Linux
professionals.

Trainees for system administration will be able to maintain workstations and
basic LAN and
Internet server services.

The cost of the training is ten thousand pesos (P10,000) but subsidies are
available for selected
participants. All participants are expected to take the LPI exam after the
training.

1) Name
2) Birthdate
3) Sex
4) Background on Linux
5) What does the cd command mean in Linux?
6) What is the command for symbolic links in Linux?

Applicants will be notified of acceptance (and other requirements) Nov 30,
5pm.
