I use Mark Minasi's The Complete PC Upgrade and Maintenance Guide. I consider Mark Minasi to be one, if not the best author/resource person on computer repair, upgrade, and maintenance. Any of his books will suffice. He writes on a lot of topics. http://www.minasi.com/books
