Tsakto man tubag nila master ron, master tildemark, master hardwyrd, and master wawa.
Yes, they're greedy in a sense that they don't want people to easily copy the way they do or implement stuff. They obviously have disciplined coders/engineers to code them to get it well obfuscated. Copying the fancy functionality/features that utilizes javascript is easier than copying the implementation details. The implementation details is what makes it important for very high traffic sites like Google to make it hard for developers who want to reverse engineer the javascript tricks. The manner how the feature is implemented makes it important because it's where performance may differ. They could for example, do the possible mini pre-processing in our system before it sends the data to their servers - not that it matters much, but take into account how many users access their services - that should be something. And that, I believe, gives you a reason to be a little bit greedy. Aside from the above reason, you don't implement security in the client side, it is the server and the data that you need to secure. If javascript is currently capable of implementing really good security then most web applications would've moved several security measures off their servers - by utilizing the client's processing power you would make bring down server processing power requirements. If you want security, do it in the server/application (e.g.: transmit over SSL, limit user access to server, limit database privileges, maintain good audit trails) On 3/19/07, Camilo III Lozano <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote:
