"sudo [command]"
in this case you simply put "sudo passwd"

you can set your desired password for the root account.

Today i tried setting up Kubuntu 6.06 in VMware. So far there are no
problems in the installation.

My only problem is how to set up the password for root since in the
installation, I was not asked to give
the root password, only a regular unpriviliged user. Any ideas?
