I also believe that it you should not choose something because it will give you a higher pay. IMO, the most important thing to have when working is passion. You wouldn't enjoy work without it. Reflect first what you really want. Are you going back to Computer Science because you already started with that course? Or do you really want to be a computer science student because you love being it?

Almost everyone uses systems in their business. And who else can make good systems. :) Kusog ba ang hiring sa mga ComSci graduates nowadays? Yes. Companies from Cebu, and Manila actually go to Xavier and recruit. I'm a fresh graduate and I'm now employed in a local company in Cebu. I was hired before I graduated. > > What are the possible jobs I can land when I finish the course? Obviously, you can be a programmer. Just like what sir gerald said, there are a lot of jobs a CS graduate could have. You could be a tester, or a designer. And you could be a freelance programmer. That something nurses don't have. > > Naay mga companies dinhi sa Cagayan nga usually ga-hire ug mga ComSci > graduates? Yes, there are companies in Cagayan that hire CS graduates. Link2Support, Syntactics, GlobalDigital are few of the companies I know that are in Cagayan. If you can't find a job in Cagayan, you could try either in Cebu or in Manila. > > I was thinking of majoring in IT instead of Software Engineering, is that a > good choice? For me, it won't matter when you work. You'll still undergo training in your company. Computer Engineering students in our company will still learn how to design programs and systems. I'm an IT graduate but I will be learning Software Engineering concepts because the company requires it. So it's your choice what you want to be. They have their own pros and cons. > > Guys, I really need your advices. I need the facts to present it to my Tito > and convince him to send me back to ComSci studies. Sometimes to learn things, we're required to get a little dirty
