Yeah, I've glanced the "minimal" description in the Google Blog. However, I think we should start asking ourselves again "What is an OS?" "What does an OS do?" Then start thinking again if indeed Google "OS" _is in fact_ an OS.
The idea for net books, net tops etc isn't entirely new. I've seen a few units from NEC, etc a couple of years ago using the same idea of "everything on the internet" with the backing from Netscape. But then again, back then AJAX, and others were not yet born and the idea of "everything on the internet" at that time was too ahead of its time.
