Now that the list has just recently woke up... I have a simple non-FOSS related request. Most of my batchmates are in facebook, but wall posts are not really reliable... Im trying to collect personal time or schedule estimates on how long will it take for 2 or 3 freshman students to create a snake program in C (without the use of graphic libraries like vga.h) using ordinary dos libraries like windows.h or conio.h(gotoxy, etc). I'm probably getting old and I cant remember how long exactly it took me to create a simple snake program 12 years ago. I think it took me around a week(assuming I spent 3 hours a day for it). I had my wife verify it, but she couldnt accurately remember either. I have a cousin who's a freshman in XU and he asked me on how long does it take to code a snake program and Im quite doubtful that my personal estimate of 1 week(3hrs/day) or 15 hours is really reliable. I know that there are a lot of factors that are different with the scenario 12 years ago and with today's scenario. But can you give me your personal estimates? Let's just assume that the freshmen students will not be studying any graphics library and would be doing it on windows, so need to think of ncurses/lcurses library headaches. And let's just asssume they'll be using turboc++ or dev c++ editor/IDE. Thanks, Ron _________________________________________________ Kagay-Anon Linux Users' Group (KLUG) Mailing List [email protected] (http://lists.linux.org.ph/mailman/listinfo/klug) Searchable Archives: http://archives.free.net.ph
