DETAILS Location: Dallas, TX
Position Type: Long-term Contract Assignment Length: 12+ months Hourly Rate: DOE! JOB DESCRIPTION The VMware / Windows / Linux Consultant will join an established team that is responsible for the server management. This individual needs to possess expertise experience in configuration and troubleshooting the servers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in VMware, Windows, Linux/UNIX and RedHat. TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS 5+ years of the following skill sets. * VMware 3 on either HP BladeCenter and/or IBM Blade. * Determining reqs, designing, implementing, and deploying application and web server environments enterprise-wide. * Linux/Solaris Environment - some server administration experience, preferred. * Implementing web/application server changes. * Maintaining/managing configurations - Development, Quality Assurance and into Production. * Must have a strong background with LAMP environments. * Troubleshooting, configuring, performance tuning, and managing WebLogic 9.x, Apache, and Tomcat. * Writing UNIX Shell Scripts (ksh / bsh / csh). But here are the things that will be the most important... * Must be a VMware / Linux Engineer - not an admin. Won't pass the screening. * Must have experience with Solaris / RedHat - doesn't have to within the most recent position, but the candidates need to have a solid background in Solaris. Candidates that are all AIX or HP-UX, won't make it past resume review. * Must have either HP BladeCenter OR IBM Blade experience. They are on HP BladeCenter for the VMware, so ideally that would work out better, but they have shared that IBM Blade is similar and can work in its place. * Middleware will be important - WebLogic, Tomcat and Apache. Don't have to have all 3, but need to be strong in troubleshooting, configuring, etc. on 1 of the above. * Communication skills need to be good and they will need to be able to articulate their experience to me before I will send their resume on to the Thanks & Regards, Kiran Raj | Cigniti Inc.
