MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY: Technology (45%) * Develop a working knowledge of West's online delivery platforms * Utilize software engineering and relational database tools to query and transform data * Utilize web development tools to maintain and improve report delivery systems * Develop a working knowledge of RMG's Business Intelligence reporting tools * Create monthly and quarterly customer reports, including performance, usage, availability and capacity of the environment against agreed upon metrics * Provide timely in-depth data analysis to customers * Consistently look for opportunities to automate and gain efficiencies within reporting processes * Improve timeliness and quality of information * Demonstrate ability to solve problems independently Planning and project management (15%) * Translate needs, issues, and ideas into effective strategies and action plans. * Design plans for data gathering and analysis; participate significantly in building and interpreting analyses and developing action plans. * Evaluate the effectiveness of implemented actions/programs. * Establish and maintain working relationships with developers, project managers and architecture experts to understand strategic architecture vision and how this will be implemented in the environment. Team Engagement & Communication (35%) * Provide value-added reporting to all levels of staff and management * Influence others in a collaborative manner * Follow up on outstanding issues with project team and management * Communicate in a professional manner via reports, email or in person to multiple audiences * Cross train teammates and document standard practices * Assist other focus areas within RMG, when possible Business (5%) * Understand Thomson Reuters product lines and PIIRS supported technologies * Understand internal processes and how they affect the corporation * Understand strategic vision at the organization and team level QUALIFICATIONS Must have knowledge and Skills * Bachelor's degree (preferably in Mathematics, Statistics, or Computer Science) * Must have Business Objects reporting tools * Familiarity with PERL * Must have exp with SQL * Familiarity with HTML and XML * Aptitude for solving complex analytical and technical problems independently * Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to communicate technical information to multiple audiences * Proven analytical and troubleshooting skills * Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment * Ability to set scope, complete assigned tasks, and deliver quality results * Ability to determine and assign tasks to others to achieve project goals * Ability to apply standard practices to reporting area processes Preferred Experience * Familiarity with the Novus Suite platform * Familiarity with SAS * Familiarity with statistics and statistical analysis Bhoopender Singh Manager Resource.
