*Please find the requirement details for the *Network Engg Role** *Position :* Multiple Network Engg Roles** *Location is Dallas, Texas.* *Duration: 6+Months * *Interview : Require face to face interviews after the initial screen. * * * *Role 1 : Title:Mobile Support Engineer - Motorola Devices* * * *Skills:Cisco network switches and firewalls, IP Networking, LAN, Networking principles, WAN*** *Responsibilities:*** Supporting configuration and activation of Motorola line of rugged handheld devices. This includes assisting technical project engineers with configuration issues, activating cellular services, configuring VPN software, etc. Support the introduction of new software releases for wireless network elements such as data cards, wireless phone upgrades, etc. Work with Operations and Engineering on the priority of issues in order to resolve customer impacting issues and providing on call after hours network support. Assist with the creation and implementation of documentation and procedures to support operation of the network Troubleshooting, tracking, and resolution of day-to-day wireless device and network issues related to projects. Open and close service requests, as well as manage the classification, assignment, tracking, and completion of requests Major Job Duties and Responsibilities: Good understanding of wireless communication systems Ability to analyze information from logs, conduct call/data failure analysis, and support project teams when technical wireless issues arise Working knowledge of wireless carrier data services on CDMA and GSM Previous experience with Motorola rugged handheld devices. Strong understanding of how to install and configure mobile windows operating system and other components. Explorative testing skills and abilities to uncover abnormal issues that may be affecting communication or network access on a mobile device. Experience with end to end testing of core mobile phone functionality and data communications over wireless networks. Experience with carrier network analysis tools is desired. Knowledge of mobile VPN software such as Netmotion is a huge plus *Role 2:Wireless Engineer* * * *Skills:LAN, WAN, WLAN, TCP/IP, Telecom Experience* * * *Description:* Will work in a team environment reviewing the survey, design, and implementation of a nation-wide network using 802.11 access technology. Responsible for quality of network installations in the field, working with installation vendors to ensure compliance to site requirements and contractual obligations. Ensures proper Radio Frequency (RF) propagation is documented, installation practices are followed, assist with site acceptance, and troubleshooting all network elements Primary Responsibilities: Provide day to day support of AA WLAN Designs, implements and troubleshoots wireless network infrastructure to meet internal customer's needs Conducts wireless site surveys and makes corresponding recommendations based on survey results Troubleshoots wireless networks by using a variety of test tools Utilizes wireless protocols and frequencies in the field Configures wireless infrastructure hardware and software Researches wireless based technology and trains on current materials Responsible for project documentation and deliverables Provide Tier 3 support for wireless technicians and internal customers Interaction with hardware vendors and industry partners Support Responsibilities Supporting installation, maintenance, ehancements and configuration of wireless infrastructure in support of mobility solutions utilized in the American Airlines environment.
