Project Name: Apple Internet Browser Plug-in C/C++ Developer (DPF Project)
Developer Job Specification
We require an experienced Objective C/C++ contract developer to undertake
the specific task of creating an internet browser plug-in with the following
characteristics:
MUST use the standard Apple plug in architecture
MUST target the Apple / Intel 32 and 64 bit environments
only
MUST install and execute under Mozilla FireFox (versions 3
and greater)
MUST install and execute under Apple Safari (version 3 and
greater)
MUST be developed using Objective C and/or Apple C++
Developer Characteristics
The successful candidate must have the following experience:
developing software for Apple Mac OS 10.5 or higher using
Objective C and/or Apple C++
developing software for Apple Mac OS 10.5 or higher that
outputs images, text, and line art to laser printers
Preference will be given to candidates with the following experience:
developing browser plug ins on Apple Mac OS 10.5 or higher
interfacing with web services via SOAP
Microsoft COM / ATL / unmanaged C++
JavaScript and HTML
Timeframes:
Candidate must be available to work full time no later than May 3, 2010.
Project must be completed by July 2, 2010.
Role Responsibilities
The candidate should have a basic understanding of working in an agile
environment but ideally will be able to singlehandedly take this project to
completion using their existing skill set. As such the candidate cannot
expect to draw on experience inside this company relating to the technical
subject matter. The candidate will be the only experienced person with
respect to the technical subject matter and as such is required to be expert
in most of that field.
The position is most definitely not for a trainee or quick learner. Please
be prepared to demonstrate your skills and/or supply a portfolio of projects
you have completed to similar specifications.
