Required Qualifications
.BS Computer Science or Information Systems
.10+ years of technology experience with emphasis on infrastructure
components.
.Strong knowledge / understanding of industry leading Information Lifecycle
Management products and technologies.
.Strong experience with operating systems, Windows, Linux, AIX, Solaris
.Understanding of and experience with major DBMSs such as MS SQL, Oracle and
IBM UDB.
.Extensive experience with networking, both fibre channel and Ethernet.
.Ability to use tools such as MS Access, MS Excel and SAS to analyze
infrastructure telemetry
.Proven ability to architect and design enterprise level technical
infrastructures
.Proven ability to define technical strategy and articulate to technology
and business partners
.Experience with systems management and monitoring as well as performance
analysis and tuning
.Wide experience of problem determination and root cause analysis
.Understanding of high availability design and implementation
.Knowledge of industry best practices and innovative technology
.Strong communication skills both written and verbal
.Negotiation skills and ability to influence vendors and partners to
optimize offerings to meet American Express needs
